CREATING BEAUTIFUL SMILES SINCE 1982
Orthodontics is a Greek word meaning straight teeth. However, facial beauty and correct function doesn’t stop with straight teeth alone.
A general dental practitioner is privileged to see and guide his/her patient’s dental development from a young age, assessing genetic, environmental, functional, and self-controlled habitual influences. An orthodontic assessment at a young age can allow the design of a treatment plan with the end goal of aesthetic and functional dentofacial perfection in mind. Any general practitioner who is experienced and cognizant of these influences may guide and treat in a timely fashion, so major orthodontic problems are avoided. This may involve opinions of collateral dental or medical specialists, e.g., oral and maxillofacial surgeons, ENT specialists, orthodontists, myofunctional therapists, and others as the need dictates. This website will explain how Dr Rob Pasch DDS MSc General Practitioner approaches orthodontic or growth development (orthopaedic) issues.
